WFDA Funeral Trust
Your Funds are Protected
As is standard and legal procedure for prepaid funeral funds, we place prepayment funds into a funeral trust or burial agreement funded with life insurance to gain interest or dividends to be able to cover costs at the future time of need.
You may have heard the Wisconsin Funeral Trust has been in the news for improper investments, resulting in a negative balance. The Wisconsin Funeral Trust is owned by the Wisconsin Funeral Directors Association. Founded in 1881 the Wisconsin Funeral Directors Association (WFDA) has been a longtime advocate for consumer protection and advancement of the funeral profession in Wisconsin. While this is a very unfortunate situation, we are still proud of our association with WFDA. Our father, the late Jerome Kleczka served as President of WFDA from 1983-1984, our co-worker Pat Koszuta served as President from 1997-1998 and Jeff Kleczka currently serves as the Milwaukee / Waukesha County District Representative to the board of directors of WFDA.
A very small percentage of our prepaid funds went into this account, but we want you to know, if you are one of the families with funds in this trust, that regardless of what may happen, we will honor the commitment we have made to you.
It is important to state that these funds are being protected and are not dissolved. Regardless, Prasser-Kleczka stands behind all its commitments.
Thank you for your continued trust in Prasser-Kleczka Funeral Homes and If you have any questions please feel free to call us at (414) 483-2322.
